Login To The Huawei E5172s-920

Find the WiFi Settings on the Huawei E5172s-920
If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.
Starting on the Overview page of the Huawei E5172s-920 router, click the choice at the top of the page labeled Wi-Fi. Then in the left sidebar click the choice of Wi-Fi Settings.
Change the WiFi Settings on the Huawei E5172s-920
This brings you to the Wi-Fi Settings page of the Huawei E5172s-920. First, find the box labeled SSID. This is the name you give your network for identification purposes. A little farther down this page is the Security drop down list. There are several options here and the best choice is WPA2-PSK. If this choice is not available, we recommend updating your firmware to allow for this option. To learn more about this topic read our guide titled WEP vs. WPA.
The WPA encryption should be set to AES.
Finally, enter a strong WPA-PSK. This is the password you use to allow access to your network. We recommend using at least 14-20 characters in this password. Use some symbols, numbers, and capital letters. Learn more about creating a strong password by reading our guide titled Choosing a Strong Password.
When you are finished, click the Submit button.
Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings
After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
