Have you been trying to login to the KEEBOX W150NR router interface but been unable to do so? It might be time to consider a reset. The type of reset I will be explaining in this guide is not simply a reboot but a factory default reset. A reboot is simply a way of cycling the power to the device. A factory reset takes all the settings you have changed in the past and returns them all to how they were when they left the factory.

Warning: A factory reset is a big step and should be taken as such. A factory reset should only be done after you have exhausted your other options. It's also a good idea to make a list of all the settings you may of changed in the past. These settings will include:

  • If this is a DSL router you will need to re-enter the Internet Service Provider (ISP) username and password. Call your local ISP for these details.
  • The router's main username and password used to access the interface.
  • The network SSID and password.
  • Any other settings such as port forwards or IP address changes.

While the router is on take a small sharp object such as a straight paperclip and press down on the reset button for at least 10 seconds. This begins the reset process. Be patient this could take a couple minutes to complete.

Warning: Do not unplug or turn off the device during the actual reset process. Doing so could result in permanent damage to the unit.

Remember a reset is a big step and erases all previously configured settings. Please consider other options first.

It is always a good idea to change the default passwords as soon as possible. For a little extra help use our Choosing a Strong Password guide.
