Have you been trying to login to your LevelOne WBR-3408 router without success? It might be time to consider a reset. Resetting the LevelOne WBR-3408 router is not the same as rebooting the device. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset the router you take all the settings and restore all of them back to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router means every personal setting you have ever made is erased and returned to factory defaults. We highly recommend making a list of all the settings you may of changed in the past. These may include:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The WiFi network name, encryption, and Internet password.
  • If this is a DSL router you might need to re-enter the Internet Service Provider (ISP) username and password. Call your local Internet provider for this information.
  • Have you made any other changes to this device? How about port forwards or IP addresses?

Reset the Level One WBR 3408

Below is the front panel of the LevelOne WBR-3408 router. Notice I have circled two buttons on the device. You will need to use both of these to reset the LevelOne WBR-3408 router.

While the router is on, press down on the WPS button and the Wireless On/Off button together for at least 10 seconds. If you don't hold both these buttons down for a full 10 seconds you will only reboot the router instead of resetting it like you wanted. If you don't hold these buttons down together you will either turn on or off the wireless or you will turn the WPS function on. What is WPS?

Caution: Do not unplug or turn off the router during the actual reset process! Doing so could result in permanent damage to the router.

Remember a reset like this one erases every single setting you have ever changed on the device. We strongly recommend trying other troubleshooting methods before you continue with a reset.
