If after trying to login to the Linksys WAG320N router you cannot access the router setup pages you may need to reset the device back to factory defaults.

This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power only. No settings are changed. When you reset a router all settings you have changed in the past are reverted back to how they were from the factory.

Warning: All your personal data is lost when you reset the Linksys WAG320N router. I highly recommend you make a list of all the settings you may of changed in the past. These settings include:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. Call your ISP for these details.
  • The WiFi settings like the SSID and Internet password.
  • What other settings have you changed? How about port forwards or IP address changes?

While the router is on take a straightened paperclip or other similar object and press down on the reset button for about 10 seconds. If you don't hold this button down long enough you run the risk of simply rebooting the device instead of resetting it like you wanted.

Warning: DO NOT unplug or turn off the router during the reset process. Doing so causes permanent damage to the unit.

Remember a reset like this erases every single setting you have ever changed. We strongly recommend trying other troubleshooting methods before you decide to reset the Linksys WAG320N router.
