Setup WiFi on the Linksys WRT1900AC

Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Login To The Linksys WRT1900AC

Find the WiFi Settings on the Linksys WRT1900AC

Change the WiFi Settings on the Linksys WRT1900AC

You should now be on the page you see above.

Be sure to only make your changes in the 2.4 GHz section of the page.

Start by thinking of a Network name. Remember, it can be anything you like, however it would be wise to avoid any personal information. For more on network identification, see our Wireless Names Guide.

Now you need to decide on a Password. This too can be anything you wish, but a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and includes no personal information. For more help, take a look at our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

That's all there is to it. Just be sure to Apply these changes before leaving the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
