Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Login To The Linksys WRT1900AC
To get started configuring the Linksys WRT1900AC WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the Linksys WRT1900AC
If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.
We begin the wireless setup guide for the Linksys WRT1900AC router on the Status page. To start configuring your wireless settings, click Wireless on the left hand side of the page.
Change the WiFi Settings on the Linksys WRT1900AC
You should now be on the page you see above.
Be sure to only make your changes in the 2.4 GHz section of the page.
Start by thinking of a Network name. Remember, it can be anything you like, however it would be wise to avoid any personal information. For more on network identification, see our Wireless Names Guide.
Now you need to decide on a Password. This too can be anything you wish, but a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and includes no personal information. For more help, take a look at our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings
After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
