Login To The Netgear AC1600 C6250EMR

Find the WiFi Settings on the Netgear AC1600 C6250EMR

Once you've logged into the Netgear C6250EMR router you'll be taken to the Home page. To change your wireless network settings click the Advanced tab near the top of the page. From there click Setup in the left hand sidebar and then Wireless Setup just below that.

You should now see the page given above.
Be sure to only make your changes in the Wireless Network (2.4GHz b/g/n) section of the page.
Start off by setting a Name (SSID). This is your network name and can be whatever you want. Due to security reasons, however, it would be wise to avoid any kind of personal information. To learn more check out our Wireless Names Guide.

In the Security Options section of the page select WPA2-PSK [AES]. This gives you the strongest security. For more information visit our WEP vs. WPA Guide.
Finally you'll need to set a Passphrase. Keep in mind that this can be anything you like but should not contain any personal information. Also try to keep it 14-20 characters long for added security. For more help check out our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings
After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
