This wireless setup guide begins on the Home page of the Rogers AC763S router. Select the choice of Advanced Settings. At this point a box appears in the center of the screen. Choose the tab titled Wi-Fi and beneath that pick Network.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Rogers AC763S

In the box titled SSID, enter a new name for your internet network. This can be anything you like, but avoid personal information. Take a look at our guide titled Wireless Names for more info.

Save your changes. Then click the option in white titled Security.

On this new page, click the radio button that reads WPA2 Personal AES. This is the strongest security available right now. Learn all about it in our guide titled WEP vs. WPA.

The last thing you need to do is change the Wi-Fi Passphrase. This is the password you use to access your network. We recommend using a minimum of 14-20 characters in your new password. Try to substitute numbers and symbols for some of your letters. Take a look at our Password Guide for more help in creating a strong password.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
