A factory reset puts your Ubee gateway back to its default settings: the WiFi name, key and login on the label.

Before You Reset

Write down your WiFi settings and port forwards. The cable connection is set up by your ISP and comes back on its own. A restart (power off for 30 seconds) doesn't erase anything.

Method 1: The Reset Button

  1. With the gateway on, press and hold the Reset button on the back for about 10 to 30 seconds, until the lights flash.
  2. Let go and wait up to 5 minutes for the gateway to restart and reconnect.

Method 2: Reset From the Web Interface

Log in and go to Status > Security (or Basic > Backup / Restore). Choose Restore Factory Defaults and click Apply.

After the Reset

Connect with the default WiFi details, log in (see the Ubee login guide), and set up your WiFi.
