Setup WiFi on the Zhone ZNID-GPON-2426-UK

We begin this wireless setup guide on the Device Info page of the Zhone ZNID-GPON-2426-UK router. First, click the box in the left sidebar labeled Configuration. Then in that box, pick the Wireless option and then Basic.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Zhone ZNID-GPON-2426-UK

First, you need to put a check in the box labeled Enable Wireless.

Click the Apply/Save button when you are finished.

Now go back to the Configuration box in the left sidebar and click the option of Security under Wireless.

Scroll down to the Manual Setup AP section. Then use the Select SSID drop down list to choose the SSID you just created on the previous page.

Next, use the Network Authentication drop down menu to choose the best security for your network. We recommend using WPA2-PSK. Find out why this is your best option in this guide.

Under that enter a strong password in the box labeled WPA/WAPI passphrase. This internet password should have at least 14 to 20 characters in it and at least one symbol, number, and capital letter. For further help, check out this guide.

That's it, just click the Apply/Save button before you exit.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
