Port forwarding the Asus RT-AC3200 to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

You should now see a page like the one you see above.

In the Basic Config section all you need to do is make sure the Enable Port Forwarding is on by choosing Yes to the right of it.

Now in the section titled Port Forwarding List, enter the name of the program you are forwarding these ports for in the box labeled Service Name. It is not important what you enter here but we suggest writing something down that will remind you of why you are forwarding these ports.

In the Local IP drop down list choose the IP address you are forwarding these ports to. This means if you are forwarding these ports so you can run a program on your desktop computer make sure to choose that desktop computer's IP address.

You probably noticed we skipped over the Port Range box. Take the port number you are forwarding and enter that in the Port Range and the Local Port box.

The Protocol is next. Use this drop down list to choose the type of protocol you need to use in order to forward this port correctly.

Click the Add button.

Finally select the Apply button to save your changes.
