Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Login To The Belkin F5D8632-4

Forward a Port on the Belkin F5D8632-4 router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Belkin F5D8632-4

Now that you have logged into the Belkin F5D8632-4v1 you start on the Status page of your Belkin router. In the list of links to the left, find and click the one labeled Virtual Servers, it will be just under Firewall.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Belkin F5D8632-4

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You are now on the correct page to begin the port forwarding process. First, put a check in the box labeled Enable.

The next box is the Description box. Enter the name of the program in this space. This is for your future information only.

Next is the Inbound port and Private port. If you are forwarding a single port, enter this number in both the boxes of Inbound port and both boxes under Private port. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number in the left box of both the Inbound port and Private port. Enter the highest number in the right box of both.

The next is a drop down menu called Type. Use this menu to select the type of protocol you want to use when forwarding these ports.

Under the heading Private IP address enter the IP address you are forwarding these ports to. For instance, if you are forwarding a range of ports to run a program on your computer, then be sure to use that computer's IP address in this box.

When you have finished making all these changes, click Add at the top of the page and then Apply Changes.

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Belkin F5D8632-4 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
