Setup WiFi on the Billion 5102G

Login To The Billion 5102G

Change the WiFi Settings on the Billion 5102G

You should be taken to a new page.

Begin by setting an SSID. This will serve as your network identification and can be anything you like. However, we strongly recommend that you avoid any personal information due to security reasons. For more info on this topic, be sure to see our Wireless Names Guide.

Following that, open the drop down list marked Channel ID and select either 1, 6, or 11. To learn why these are the best options, take a look at our WiFi Channels Guide.

The Encryption needs to be set to AES.

Lastly, enter your desired network password into the box labeled Pre-Shared Key. This can be whatever you want, however, keep in mind that a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and contains no personal information. Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
