Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Billion Bipac 7402NX to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The Billion Bipac 7402NX

To get started forwarding a port you need to login to your Billion Bipac 7402NX router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Forward a Port on the Billion Bipac 7402NX router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Billion Bipac 7402NX

Now that you have finished logging into the Billion BiPaC-7402NX you are taken to the Status page of this router. On the left is a blue side bar, pick the link labeled Configuration.

A new menu appears in light blue, pick the choice labeled Virtual Server, then Port Forwarding.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Billion Bipac 7402NX

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You are now on the Port Forwarding page. The first box is called Application. Enter the name of the program in this box, you can enter anything you like in this box, but we recommend entering something that will help you remember why you are forwarding these ports in the future.

The next box is the Protocol drop down menu. Use this menu to choose the type of protocol you wish to use while forwarding these ports.

To forward a single port, enter the port number in both boxes next to External Port and enter that port number in both boxes labeled Redirect Port.

To forward a range of ports, enter the lowest number of the range in the from box of both the External Port and the Redirect Port. Enter the highest number of the range in the boxes labeled to of both External Port and Redirect Port.

Next is the Internal IP address, enter the IP address you are forwarding ports to in this box. Remember that if you are forwarding a port to run something on your computer, you need to use that computer's IP address.

Leave the Time Schedule as Always On.

When you have finished making all the changes you want, don't forget to click Add, then down at the bottom of the page, Save Config.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Billion Bipac 7402NX you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
