How to Reset the Billion Bipac 7402NX

This page covers how to reset the Billion BiPaC-7402NX router back to it's original factory defaults. Before we do that there are two terms that are easily confused, reset and reboot. To reboot a router means to cycle the power to the device. This is done by unplugging the power from the router, waiting a minute, and turning it back on. The other term is to reset a router. This is taking all the settings and returning them to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router can be a problem if you don't know what settings are changed. We recommend making a list of settings you know will be changed. We have started this list for you.

  • The router's username and password.
  • If you use DSL, the ISP or Internet Service Provider username and password.
  • The Internet name, and password.
  • Have you made any other changes to this router? Have you forwarded any ports? Have you changed any IP addresses?

Reset the Billion Bipac 7402NX

Before we start this reset you need to know where the reset button is located. Take a look at the back panel of the Billion BiPaC-7402NX router. It is a tiny recessed button labeled Reset. We have it circled for you in the image below.

Take the tip of a sharp pencil or pen and press down on the reset button for about 10 seconds. Make sure to hold this button down for the entire recommended time because if you don't it will only reboot the router instead of the desired reset.

Please remember this is going to erase every setting you have ever changed on the device. It would be a good idea to try other options before you decide to a reset is the solution.

Login to the Billion Bipac 7402NX

Change Your Password

Tip: If your router is a home router it's completely okay to write this new password down on a piece of paper and attach it to the bottom of the device for the next time you need to login.
