This page shows you how to properly reset the Dlink DI-704UP router back to factory default settings. A reset is not the same thing as a reboot. When I use the word reboot I am referring to a cycle in the power to the device. When I use the word reset I am referring to a complete factory restore of all settings. This means every setting you have changed in the past is erased and put back to factory defaults.
Warning: Resetting this router can cause problems for you if you are unaware of what settings are changed and what ones are not. Consider the following:
- The router's main username and password are reverted to how they were when you got it from the factory.
- Have you made any other changes to your device? If so, write them down so you can reconfigure them later.
