Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300 to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300

To get started forwarding a port you need to login to your Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300 router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Forward a Port on the Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300 router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300

This guide begins on the Status page of the Dlink DGL-4300 router. Click the link at the top of the page, in orange, labeled Advanced. Then, a new menu forms on the left, choose Gaming.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

  1. Place a check mark in the small Enable box.
  2. Enter something that helps you to remember why you are forwarding these ports, such as a program name, in the Name box.
  3. In the IP Address box, enter the IP address of the specific computer you are forwarding these ports to.
  4. Enter the port numbers you are forwarding in the TCP Ports to Open, and in the UDP Ports to Open. You can enter these ports as:
    • A list, 22,25,28
    • A range, 80-100
    • Or a combination of the two, 22,25,80-100.
  5. Next, is the Inbound Filter, set this to Allow All.
  6. The Schedule should be set to Always.
  7. Tick the blue button near the bottom of the page titled Save.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Dlink GamerLounge DGL-4300 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
