This guide begins on the Home page of the Jensen-Scandinavia AirLink-29150 router. To configure the WiFi settings, click the Advanced Settings option in the red sidebar on the left. Then click the link titled Wireless. This should open the Wireless Settings page. If it does not, simply click Basic Settings in the left sidebar.

  • Find the box titled ESSID and type in a name to call your internet connection. This name can be anything you like, but it's a good idea to avoid personal information. For more info on this subject, check out our guide titled How to Change your Wireless Name.
  • Directly below that is the Channel Number. Use this list to make sure you are using channels 1,6, or 11. To learn why you should only use these three read our guide titled WiFi Channels.
  • Click the Apply button.
  • Then tick the option of Security Settings in the left sidebar.

  • On this new page, use the box labeled Encryption to choose the option of WPA pre-shared key.
  • Next is the WPA Unicast Cipher Suite. This is narrowing down your choice you made above. For the best security choose WPA2 (AES). To learn why this is the most secure option, read our guide titled WEP vs. WPA.
  • Below that is the Pre-shared Key Format. Pick Passphrase from the drop down list.
  • Lastly you need to fill in the Pre-shared Key. This is the password you need to use to gain access to your local network. This password should be strong. We recommend using a minimum of 14-20 characters. It is also a good idea to add symbols, numbers, and capital letters here.   • Click the APPLY button.

That's it, you have setup your WiFi.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
