Setup WiFi on the Linksys EA6350

Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Login To The Linksys EA6350

Change the WiFi Settings on the Linksys EA6350

You should now be on a new page.

This page is divided into two sections. We will be focusing only in the 2.4 GHz section of the page.

Start by deciding on a Network name. This can be whatever you like, however we highly recommend avoiding any personal information. To learn more, be sure to check out our guide.

Now you'll need to set a Password. A strong password can be difficult to come up with on your own, so we've created a Choosing a Strong Password Guide to help you out.

Next, open the drop down menu marked Security mode and set it to WPA2 Personal. This will provide you with the best security. Why? Read our WEP vs. WPA Guide to find out.

Lastly, don't forget the Channel. This should be set to either 1, 6, or 11. To learn why these are the best options, take a look at our WiFi Channels Guide.

That's all there is to it. Just be sure to click Ok and then Apply before closing the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
