Setup WiFi on the Virgin Media Super Hub 2

Find the WiFi Settings on the Virgin Media Super Hub 2

This wireless setup guide begins on the Home page of the Virgin-Media Super-Hub-2 router. First click the link of Advanced Settings in the lower right corner of the page. Then find and select the option of Wireless. Then click Primary Network (SSID1).

Change the WiFi Settings on the Virgin Media Super Hub 2

You are then taken to a page a lot like the one you see here called 2.4GHz Primary Wireless Network.

In the space titled SSID enter a new name for your network ID. This name can be anything you like as long as you can remember it. Our only recommendation is to avoid personal data. Take a look at our Wireless Name Guide for more on the subject.

The second setting on this page is that you need to check is the Security Mode. For maximum security it should be set to WPA2-PSK[AES]. To learn what you different options are, check out this WPA2 guide.

The last setting that needs your attention is the Passphrase. This is your internet password. It's a good idea to make this password as strong as possible. We recommend a minimum of 14 to 20 characters. If you need more help in creating a strong password check out this Password guide.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
