Setup WiFi on the Zhone 6519-A2

Login To The Zhone 6519-A2

Find the WiFi Settings on the Zhone 6519-A2

We begin this wireless setup guide on the Device Info page of the Zhone 6519-A2 router. Start off by clicking Wireless on the left hand side of the page, and then Basic below that.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Zhone 6519-A2

On this new page you'll enter your desired SSID. This will be your network name and can be anything you want. However, we highly recommend avoiding any sort of personal information. To learn more, be sure to take a look at our Wireless Names Guide.

When you're finished, be sure to click Apply/Save before moving on.

From there, click Security in the left hand sidebar.

Scroll down to the Manual Setup AP. From here, start by opening the drop down list marked Select SSID and choosing the SSID you just created.

Now open the drop down menu labeled Network Authentication and set it to WPA2-PSK. To learn why this is important, see our WEP vs. WPA Guide.

After that, you'll need to decide on a WPA Passphrase. We know a strong passphrase can be difficult to come up with on your own, so we've created a guide to help you out.

Lastly, set the WPA Encryption to AES.

That's all there is to it. Just be sure to Apply/Save your settings before closing the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
