In this guide we will discuss how to reset the Actiontec T2200H Telus router. Resetting is not the same as rebooting. While rebooting the router you are cycling the power to the router by turning it off and on again. Resetting the router is more complicated in that it erases all of your configurations and reverts the router to the original factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting the router can cause problems. There are some things you need to consider first.

  • The router's main username and password are reset.
  • The WiFi username and password are reset as well.
  • If you use a DSL router you will need the ISP username and password so you don't lose Internet connectivity. If you are unsure of these details call your ISP.
  • Any configurations you have made such as firewalls or port forwards are erased and will need to re-entered.
