If you need to reset your Arris BGW210-700 router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Every time your router loses power it reboots. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.
Warning: Make sure that you fully understand the following before resetting your router. A router reset will affect the following settings:
- The router's login and password are reset.
- Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
- If your router has any ISP settings they will be removed, and you will have to contact your ISP.
- All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.

Reset the Arris BGW210-700
You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. This is what a typical reset button looks like:
Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.
Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. Do not be concerned about holding the reset button down too long. It will not hurt anything.
