ARRIS (now part of CommScope) makes cable modems and gateways. It also makes many of the DSL gateways that Internet providers hand out. Its retail SURFboard modems and gateways are sold in shops, and its Touchstone gateways are supplied by cable companies such as Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox and Rogers. AT&T and Frontier supply its NVG DSL gateways. These guides cover all of them.

ARRIS Guides

Which ARRIS Device Do You Have?

  • SURFboard gateways and routers (SBG6700-AC, SBG7580-AC, SBG8300, SBR-AC1750, SBR-AC3200P). These are at 192.168.0.1, with Basic, Wireless, Advanced, Firewall and Status menus. SURFboard mAX mesh systems are set up with the SURFboard app.
  • Touchstone gateways (TG852, TG862, TG1672, TG3452, DG1670, DG3270). These are supplied by cable ISPs and are at 192.168.0.1. Xfinity versions (TG1682G, TG3482G) are at 10.0.0.1 and have their own Xfinity interface.
  • NVG DSL gateways (NVG468MQ, NVG589, NVG595, NVG599). These are supplied by AT&T, Frontier and others, and are at 192.168.1.254.
  • SURFboard cable modems with no WiFi (SB6183, SB8200 and similar). These only have a status page at 192.168.100.1.

Default ARRIS Login Details

Most ARRIS gateways use admin / password. NVG gateways use the Device Access Code printed on the label. Some cable ISPs use cusadmin / password. See the ARRIS passwords and ARRIS IP address pages.
