In this guide we cover how to reset the Beetel 450TC1 router to original factory defaults. There is confusion between the terms resetting and rebooting. Rebooting a router is merely cycling the power by turning the device off and back on again. To reset a router you are taking all the settings and reverting them back to factory defaults.
Warning: Resetting the Beetel 450TC1 router can be dangerous if you don't know what settings are changed during a reset. We suggest creating a list of settings that you know will change. Consider the following:
- The router's main username and password are returned to factory defaults.
- If you use DSL you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. If you don't know this information you should call your ISP.
- The WiFi SSID, password, and security mode are all returned to factory settings.
- All settings are erased. This could be anything such as port forwards or firewall settings.

Reset the Beetel 450TC1
Now that you have decided to reset this router you need to find the tiny recessed button labeled reset. Typically this button is found on the back panel of the device but sometimes router manufacturers have the reset button on the underside of the router.
Now take a sharp object such as a pen or tip of a pencil to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds. The router needs to be on in order to for this reset to work. Do not unplug or turn off the router during this process, doing so could cause damage to your router.
Don't forget that this will erase every setting you have ever changed on this device. We strongly recommend trying other methods of troubleshooting before you reset.
Login to the Beetel 450TC1
After the reset is complete you need to login using the factory default username and password associated with this device. These can be found in the user manual or sometimes on the device itself. We have found these for you and included them in ourBeetel 450TC1 Login Guide.

The next step is to change the default password. It's never a good idea to leave a password as it's default value. Change this as soon as you are able. We have created a good password guide for you to follow if you want it, check it out in this Choosing a Strong Password guide.
Setup WiFi on the Beetel 450TC1
The last thing we are discussing in this guide is the WiFi settings. This includes the SSID, password, and security methods. Some router manufacturers like to leave this open as the default. This means your security is non-existent. Change this to WPA2-PSK if possible. If you need help check out this How to Setup WiFi on the Beetel 450TC1 router.
