Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Belkin F7D3301 to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Login To The Belkin F7D3301

Forward a Port on the Belkin F7D3301 router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Belkin F7D3301

Once you have finished logging into the Belkin F7D3301v1 you are taken to the Status page of your Belkin router. When you want to forward a port, first click the choice on the left labeled Virtual Servers, right underneath Firewall.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Belkin F7D3301

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You are now taken to the correct page, in the first empty row of boxes place a check in the box labeled Enable.

Next to this is the Description, enter short description of what you're doing here. For example, entering the program name is a good choice.

Now the Inbound port and Private port. If you are forwarding a single port enter this port number into both of these boxes, both the Inbound port and Private port. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter that range into both of these boxes like 500-600. With the lowest number, dash highest, number.

In the center box is the Type drop down menu. Use this menu to choose the protocol you are going to use to forward your ports.

In the Private IP address box, enter the IP address you are forwarding these ports to, for example if you want to forward some ports to run a program on your computer, you need to use that computer's IP address in this box.

Once you have followed all the steps above, click the Add button and then the Apply Changes button.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Belkin F7D3301 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
