Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Belkin F5D8233-4

You begin on the Status page after logging into the Belkin F5D8233-4v1. On the left is a dark side bar, click the choice labeled Virtual Servers which is just under Firewall.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Belkin F5D8233-4

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You are now on the proper page to begin port forwarding. First, put a check in the Enable button.

To the right of that is the Description. It is not important what you enter in this box. One good idea is to type the program name here or something else that will help you remember why you are forwarding these ports.

If you are forwarding a single port, enter that number in the box labeled Inbound port and enter it again in the Private port box. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the range in both of these boxes. Enter it with the lowest number first, a dash, then the highest number, such as 500-600.

The Type drop down menu is next. Use this drop down menu to choose the type of protocol you want to use when forwarding these ports.

Under Private IP address type in the IP address that you are forwarding these ports to. For example if you are forwarding these ports to run a certain program on your computer, use that computer's IP address.

You're done, congratulations! All that is left to do is click the Add button and the Apply Changes.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Belkin F5D8233-4 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
