How to Reset the Belkin F5D7234-4

In this guide we will show you how to reset the Belkin F5D7234-4v5 router back to factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. Rebooting a router is simply cycling it's power by turning it off and back on again. Resetting is reverting all settings back to how they were from the factory.

Warning: Resetting this router can cause problems for you if you don't know what settings change. I recommend creating a list of settings you know will change. In this list don't forget:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The WiFi information such as the SSID, password, and security method.
  • The ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password if you have DSL.
  • Any other settings such as port forwards are erased.

To reset this router start by finding the tiny reset button. The reset button is normally found on the back panel or side panel of the router. We have circled it's location for you in the image below.
