This is the wifi setup page from your Huawei B593s-22 router.

This directs you to the page you see here. First, find the box labeled SSID. This is the name you create to identify your network. You can enter anything you want here, but we recommend avoiding personal information. Read our guide titled Wireless Names for more information.

In the box titled Maximum number of devices enter the number of wireless devices you plan on using with this network. It can be any number between 1 and 32.

Skip down to the drop-down box labeled Security. The best option available today for home networks is WPA2-PSK. If this option is unavailable, we recommend updating your firmware to allow for this option. The next best option is WPA-PSK & WPA2-PSK. Read our guide titled WEP vs. WPA to learn why WPA2 is the best.

Under that is the WPA encryption. There should be three choices here, we recommend the strongest, AES.

The last thing you need to enter is the WPA-PSK. This is the password you use to grant or restrict access to your network. This password should contain at least 14-20 characters. Don't use any words but do add numbers, and symbols.

Click the Submit button and you are done.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
