Before we begin let's discuss the difference between a reset and a reboot. A reboot is cycling the power to the device. This is done by turning it off and back on again. A reset is taking all the settings and returning them to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting this router can cause problems if you don't know what settings are changed. It is a good idea to create a list of settings you know will be changed by this reset. We have it started for you:

  • The router's username and password.
  • The Internet username and password.
  • The ISP username and password, if you have DSL.
  • Any other settings you have changed such as Port forwards or IP addresses.
